At Best Camping Store, we stand behind our gear as firmly as you stand on your hiking boots. If your purchase didn’t meet your wilderness expectations, we’ll make it right with our straightforward returns process.
Our Return Promise
We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most items in their original condition (unused, with tags, and in original packaging). Like checking your gear before a big trip, please inspect items upon arrival.
Non-Returnable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Battery-powered lanterns with signs of use
- Air-filled sleeping pads that have been inflated
How to Return Your Gear
- Contact Us: Email [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order with your request
- Get Authorization: We’ll respond within 24 hours (faster than pitching a 3-4 season tent!) with return instructions
- Pack Securely: Return items in original packaging with all tags attached
- Ship Back: Send to 170 Dane Street, Sprague, US 99032 using a trackable method
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. For international returns (excluding some Asian regions), please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Timing: Refunds processed within 3-5 business days
- Method: Original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Notification: You’ll receive an email confirmation when processed
Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to complete the transaction.
Exchange Process
For exchanges (subject to availability):
- Follow the standard return process
- Include a note specifying your desired replacement item
- We’ll ship the new item once we receive your return
For faster service, you may place a new order while your return is processing.

If your gear arrives damaged or defective (which is rarer than a sunny day in the Rockies):
